Audit & Assurance

GAP Resources consultants have deep and varied audit experience with Big Four Firms, as well as, corporate internal audit management/execution. Over the past 10 years these audit skills have been applied to a multitude of projects and clients.

Specifically:

• SOx Program Design and Execution: Assist management in establishing and upgrading entity and process level corporate programs as technical guidance and emphasis has changed. Provide expert level testing and control assessment. Train all levels of client personnel on continued program execution.
• Top Down, Risk Based Scope Assessment - Work with client personnel to review and document a top down, risk based approach to SOx 404 scope and Internal Audit planning.
• 404 Optimization: Establish standard/key control lists focusing on best practices, responsive to new 404 guidance. Facilitate review and confirmation with audit and management stakeholders.
• Financial Reporting and Investment Controls: Facilitate review of key controls and processes in highly scrutinized and changing areas. Provide best practice expertise and background to specific client environments.
• External Audit Coordination: Interpret external audit requests to specific controls within the client organization. Provide client preparation and coordination for external audits.
• Internal Audit Co-sourcing: Integrate GAP Resources staff into value added support of our client's internal audit program. Provide expert risk assessment resources, augment internal staff while providing training, and supplement resources during peak testing times.
• Third Party Administrator Audits: Design and carry out control reviews of outsources/third party administrators (TPAs) for client management. Provide a high level of expertise while being sensitive to external relationships.
• Insurance Statutory Audits: Prepare data for, and work with state insurance auditors for financial and market conduct exams. Interpret requirements for electronic data files of accounting data. Balance/reconcile electronic data requests to statutory reports.
