Kathy Glynn, Bio
Kathy Glynn, Founding Partner - Kathy co-founded GAP Resources, LLP with Dina Panfil after working eight years with publicly traded Washington National Insurance Company. As Vice President of Internal Audit, she promoted a process-oriented approach to problem solving and integration of systems issues into financial audit activities. In 1996, Kathy became the Controller of the Health Division for Washington National to manage the many accounting changes that resulted from the sale of the division. Prior to Washington National, she worked for ten years within Ernst & Young's emerging Computer Audit practice in their Chicago office, ultimately focusing on insurance clients such as Aon and Country Companies. Kathy graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a BS in Accounting, is a Certified Public Accountant and has passed the Certified Information Systems Auditor exam.
Kathy's project management skills have been utilized in systems projects where accounting and systems activities intersect. She has leveraged her audit background to provide planning, subject matter expertise and quality assurance review to a number of SOx 404 IT and business process compliance efforts. She addresses her projects from the accounting, control and system process perspective.
