Dina Panfil, Bio
Dina Panfil, Founding Partner - Dina co-founded GAP Resources, LLP with Kathy Glynn after their close collaboration at Washington National Insurance Company where Dina was the Director of Health Division Reporting beginning in 1996. At Washington National, she developed financial reporting processes in a constantly changing environment. She began her career in Teledyne Corporation's corporate audit department. As an audit manager, she moved to Unitrin's corporate audit function in 1991 where she spent her next two years focused on insurance auditing. In 1993, Dina became Manager of Financial Reporting for United Insurance, a life and health subsidiary of Unitrin. In addition to her financial reporting responsibilities, she provided accounting expertise for a new Oracle-based loan administration system and the conversion to Oracle Financials at United. Dina is a graduate from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a BS in Accounting, a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute.
Dina's financial reporting and accounting process expertise and leadership has been applied to a number of corporate level initiatives including: corporate level SOx 404 roll outs and SOx 404 optimization projects, as well as many high-exposure corporate financial reporting projects to accumulate, review and present accounting results of critical one-time events. She has also researched and established accounting processes at several clients after implementation of SAP and PeopleSoft accounting systems applications.
