Sarbanes-Oxley 404 Optimization

SOx 404 regulations have evolved over the past 6 years, but many companies have yet to review their compliance efforts to take advantage of more efficient and effective approaches. GAP Resources has led corporate efforts to optimize SOx programs for improved compliance, relevancy and efficiency.

• Top Down, Risk Based Scope Assessment - Work with client personnel to review and document a top down, risk based approach to SOx 404 scope.
• Financial Statement Mapping and Materiality - Provide and implement techniques and approaches to map business control processes to financial statement impact based on materiality and risk. Develop appropriate documentation for management and external audit review.
• Current Program Review - Analyze current "standard" controls within financial reporting, operations and IT areas. Provide input on best practices to align controls with financial statement compilation. Document changes for review with stakeholders including internal audit, external audit, and management.
• Training and Communication - Develop training and communication material to roll-out program changes.
